Turn left off Cathedral Street, keeping parallel to the River on Montague Close under London Bridge. This part of London has a Dickensian feel to it, and in his novel, Oliver Twist, it was here that Bill Sikes murdered Nancy. Continue into Tooley Street. Look out for the signpost indicating a walkway to the left returning to the Riverfront. Outside Cottons is a gold pavement disc, which marks the second visit of HRH The Duke of Gloucester to the Walkway in Golden Jubilee year. Pass Hay’s Galleria, the complex of shops and restaurant, which is the heart of London Bridge City and come to HMS Belfast.
